Behold! A vehicle not white, black, gray or silver!
In and out in 50 minutes. They didn’t jerk me around, I didn’t jerk them around. We got around $5000 discount on the 2018 model, but we kept the 72 months at 0%. Could have saved another grand-ish or so if we didn’t want the free financing.
It’s a 2018 Toyota Tundra SR5 crew cab with short bed, TRD sport package with options, and Entune with GPS. MSRP around $47K. I finished everything I could, my dad will have to go on Saturday to sign. Left them with $500 as a deposit. By then, they are supposed to complete work on one recall, and do the line-X bed liner.
Much excite.
Blazing Blue is gorgeous. I didn’t get the SX package with black wheels as my folks didn’t really want a white truck.
They have another one left in Magnetic Gray for $700 more I think. Thank you Michael at mountain states Toyota in Denver for not acting like a typical annoying salesperson.
** edit, they have wrong photos on their website
**edit 2, I’m just an idiot, corrected
**edit 3 - it’s not cavalry blue, it’s blazing blue pearl

Thats a beautiful truck in a beautiful color. Congrats dude!

I got my Taco at Mountain States. It’s actually where I bought my previous Tundra as well. I thought they were nice to deal with, overall.
Congrats on the Tundra. I really like that blue, too.

There's jelly in my belly

Nice truck! Congrats! I rode in one a few weeks ago and I definitely think it may replace my F150 next go round.
![]() 10/23/2018 at 23:27 |

Thanks! They have a huge selection over there and were super easy to deal with.
![]() 10/23/2018 at 23:28 |

Thanks! Very happy with this - I didn’t mind the white 2019 SR5 with SX package, but this is super nice.

You have too many Toyotas :)
![]() 10/23/2018 at 23:31 |

Thanks! It was very smooth. I know that Tundra is really old platform, and interior is really not up to par with latest offerings, but it’s smooth, reliable, fast... can’t complain.
![]() 10/23/2018 at 23:34 |

I technically only own ONE vehicle that’s sold as a Toyota, thank you very much goodday.
![]() 10/23/2018 at 23:36 |

Needs more white wheels.

Altezzzzzzaaa
![]() 10/23/2018 at 23:41 |

If anything, I’ll look for black wheels from an SX if they ever become available.

I’m driving a base level plastic fantastic 2013 F150 and I get jealous of the comforts of my wife’s CX5. The Tundra is a solid platform and in my opinion the finishes inside are quite nice

enjoy that 5.7L it’s a fun motor!
![]() 10/24/2018 at 00:32 |

I got to gun it once on a short stretch of highway. It can move.

M y dad likes putting his 2014 in Tow Haul mode while just driving around because it acts like a Sport Mode

Very nice! That colour is great!
TSS all up in your grille..
Jeff would approve;

Congrats! Great truck! I got pretty much the same truck in Magnetic Gray for just over $41k, right around $6500 of MSRP. Have had it about a week and a half. Love it!
![]() 10/24/2018 at 11:57 |

Needs more hood scoops.
![]() 10/24/2018 at 13:01 |
|
Damn, that is pretty. I already started researching rock sliders :D
![]() 10/24/2018 at 13:02 |
|
Nice! The price on this one was right around $41k, but we paid about a grand more for 72 months at 0%.
![]() 10/24/2018 at 13:03 |
|
BAM!
![]() 10/24/2018 at 13:08 |
|
Yes! Also SCS wheels..
Desk2Glory is probably my favourite Tundra at the moment..

Stop tempting me. I saved up a bunch for my 5th anniversary vacation and I’m liable to spend it all on wheels, tires , sliders and armor.
![]() 10/24/2018 at 13:25 |

Yeah. Mine is actually the Off Road package and I also added the SR5 upgrade package to get the 38 gallon tank. Your gonna love this truck!

Nice buy! That’s probably the best looking Tundra I’ve ever seen.

Congrats!

Two scoops, now all you need is an ice cream cone

Congrats!!! Looks like a great truck.
Toyota does a great job of running its dealer network. They’re the only non-luxury dealerships I’ve never felt somewhat stalked at. I had a very similar experience as you buying my Tacoma, when I showed up in my 25-year-old 4Runner wanting to test drive the only manual one on the lot and started babbling about A-TRAC and locking diffs the guy got that I’d done my research and shut up and let me do my thing, sticking around to be helpful but not pressuring. Negotiations and paperwork were straightforward and BS free as well.

I paid 37-38k on last year’s overstock. 2017 TRD Sr5 4x4 Offroad in Quicksand. Nice blue though.
![]() 10/24/2018 at 18:49 |
|
awesome color
![]() 10/25/2018 at 00:23 |
|
Not too shabby! I found a deal for $39k but no option for 72 months same as cash. We decided to go with a more expensive model to get the color we wanted and financing. Quicksand is one of my favorite colors, but without the chrome bumpers.

Thanks!

Thanks!

Thanks dude! I love the Pro models more, but I really like the bumpers to be color matched, and the grill in black. And that blue... it’s magnificent
![]() 10/25/2018 at 00:27 |
|
I think I’ll play with our old 2000 model now - my dad will get to drive this for now, and I think rock sliders might be about the only thing I’ll Convince him to do.
![]() 10/25/2018 at 00:27 |

We’re gonna hate filling the tank!
![]() 10/25/2018 at 05:21 |

Fastest color. 41k, but that blue is also really nice.
![]() 10/25/2018 at 07:11 |

I generally don’t care for the look of the Tundra, but the refresh helped a lot. The color matched bumpers and grill, which I don’t know if I’ve ever seen in person, are a huge visual improvement. The crew cab short bed also has the best proportions for the styling of the truck. And yeah, that color is freaking gorgeous!
That is a truck I would want to keep for 20 years. I’m genuinely jealous of the color. I’m so impossibly bored of the silver on my truck. My next truck, whenever that happens, will be blue!
![]() 10/25/2018 at 14:05 |
|
I agree - in general, not super pretty, but color painted bumpers and the black grill are a huge, huge improvement over tons of chrome.

Yep, for sure.

Very nice ride! In the market for one myself right now. And if I may ask, what incentive programs did they offer you to get such a good deal? I am on Long Island NY and they aren’t discounting any 2018’s nor offering zero financing. No programs o nline either. Thanks.
![]() 11/10/2018 at 16:48 |

Dealership had around $2500 on the hood, and Toyota offered $3000 or 72 months at 0%. I asked for best deal with 72 month at 0%, and they gave us the dealer cash and around $2000 on top of that.
Not a spectacular deal - we worked on a 2019 as well, double cab with SX package, msrp of $41500, and I talked them down to $36700 with 2% at 60 months, I thought that was better but folks wanted a different color(this was white)

Have 3 dealers around me. Gonna check inventory now. Pick one and tell em give me your best offer or I’ll shop the others . Knowing what you were offered gonna use that as bargaining chip. Thanks much and enjoy the ride!

Good luck! Check dealers offers around you as well - I know offers are regional so you might be able to find something not too far away.
I flew from Denver to SLC to pick up my Abarth and I drove it back - I couldn’t find any locally and the deal I got at SLC dealership was great.
